Why do people get so mad at me when they find out i’m a vegetarian?

I just recently decided to be a vegetarian. There wasn’t any particular reason, I just wanted to try it out. It hasn’t been hard for me at all except for the fact that my friends criticize me daily. They tell me how dumb it is and say things like “who just wakes up one day and decides to be a vegetarian?” “I’m sorry but that is the dumbest thing ever.” It’s not like it affects them. I don’t understand why they care so much.

    try not to worry about it and live your own life. You’ve made your choice and like anyone who’s a minority in life, you will come against criticism.

    Becuz they are ignorant. If it’s your decision — stand by it. Don’t worry about what other people think.
