Can people lose weight on vegetarian diet?
WhiteDove asked:
Do vegetarians make up for the meat by eating more sugar; therefore, weight loss is not the norm as what I’ve been told? I’m thinking about trying it for several reasons besides weight loss…detoxing from meat and its additives, antibiotics etc., not to be part of society’s demand on animal slaughter and general health and well being.
I would appreciate to hear from all vegetarians and the best way to go into it - slowly, eliminating red meat first etc. What, if any, de-tox symptoms could develop that would be temporary but not a bad sign.
